In the agro Lucerino is produced Cacc’ e Mmitte of Lucera in full respect of tradition, but undoubtedly in accordance with the modern technologies. The Cacc’ e Mmitte Lucera Doc prefers clayey-calcareous lands, exactly those where the vineyards of Masseria nel Sole grow.
The production area includes the entire territory of the towns of Lucera, Troia and Biccari, all three in province of Foggia.
“Gigolò”, specifically, is obtained from grapes vines of Troia, Montepulciano and white Bombino.
Wine suitable to accompany well-structured Mediterranean typical dishes such as pasta baked with meat sauce and vegetables, tasty vegetable soups. Among the main courses, is well suited to a succulent spicy salami and ripened sheep cheese.
It should be served at a temperature of 16°/18° C; if consumed within two to three years after the vintage reveals the most of all its talents.
